Together with our client as a Backend Developer, you will build the latest functionalities for banking apps using AWS serverless technology, without being confined by legacy software. Being involved in the whole development life cycle, from the use-case to deploying the API, means you are solutionizing problems, building that solution and bringing it to market. It also means you have a major impact on the end products that the client is offering to banks across Europe.

What you’ll do
As a Backend Developer, you build features and functionalities exposed through API’s for our serverless FinTech product in TypeScript.
Your day-to-day tasks include:
• Build functionality in TypeScript and deploy to AWS in a “you build it, you run it” approach
• Develop code with very little overhead as we are AWS-managed-first
• Collaborate in a high-performance agile team to build clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Write automated tests to ensure our app and dependencies are working flawlessly
• Identify and explore new technologies and build PoC’s
AWS Lambda, Node.js, TypeScript, DynamoDB, SQS
Requirements
You are the kind of person who really enjoys working with state-of-the-art technology, yet at the same time always works towards delivering the cleanest, most scalable, and maintainable solution. This is also shown by your expertise and experience:
• Experience building end-to-end solutions from use-case all the way to production
• 5+ years of experience with backend coding, preferably in TypeScript, or the willingness to pick this up
• Strong experience with writing clean, maintainable code along with unit and integration tests
• Intrinsically curious to explore new technologies and more effective ways of working
• The ability to work and play well with others as you are part of an agile team
