Mercanis is built to give the service purchasing companies better control over costs and compliance in the outsourcing process, while the providers can benefit from easy access to new business opportunities.
For the clients, it is an all-in-one tool for purchasing services. It facilitates sending Requests for Proposals (RFPs), selecting service providers, and monitoring their transactions from start to finish. For the service providers, it’s a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution that allows them to enter bidding and reach out to new clients as well as maintain communication with the existing ones.
We’ve partnered with Mercanis to turn the company’s product idea into reality, taking ownership of the entire software development process.
In this project, Codete’s multi-talented software engineers are responsible not just for the coding, but also for technological consulting and project management. Collaborating from such an early stage, we’ve advised our client on the optimal tech stack, designed the entire software development life-cycle (SLDC) and CI/CD pipeline, and established a reliable architecture. Our QA engineer has laid the ground for end-to-end testing.
The Mercanis services procurement hub is a web-based desktop application for streamlining all outsourcing-related operations for both sides of the transaction. The first milestone of the project was to deliver a Minimum Viable Product.
The MVP, including both buyer and seller applications, features all basic functionalities. We’ve adopted a framework-free approach on the backend, writing solely in Node.js. On the frontend, we opted for TypeScript with React. Temporarily, before migrating to Microsoft Azure which provides the cross-country compliance level our client strives for in the final product, the application uses Heroku cloud computing services. Auth0 ensures security.
A goal for the future is to enrich the Mercanis application with machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions, providing its users with the ultimate software for streamlined services procurement operations.
