Warby Parker sought a solid, stable, and flexible IT system for increasing sales and binding all customer-related services (e.g., authorization, credit and gift cards management, etc.) and billing into one cohesive system.
We helped to create a complex solution based on Mule ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) that integrates the various services and external systems.
The following tech stack was used to carry this out:
- Magento – customer-related catalogue services
- Netsuite – billing services
- ExactTarget – email notification service
- Merchant Solutions – credit card management; gift card authorization
Most external systems use web services to provide access. Therefore, the ESB includes clients for these services, as well as its own web services for external communication.
The team quickly completed key aspects of the project, allowing Warby Parker to enable gift card management before Black Friday, which had a significant impact on seasonal sales.
